Cora Ingrim's goal is to help individuals and small business-owners build financial security, gain financial control over their lives and plan for retirement. As financial issues become more complex and time pressures increase in our society, many people need assistance from a financial mentor or advisor. To that end, Cora completed examinations for the Certified Financial Planner™ certification designation in 1993, which allows her to serve a wide range of clients in matters of retirement and investment planning, insurance analysis, taxation and estate planning.

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Cora graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Accounting/German Literature and began her business career with a national public accounting firm, earning her CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license. Public accounting provided a solid background for additional study in financial management, and she received an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, PA.

Her financial career included financial management for a large Washington, D.C.-based pension fund, a small computer firm, and a position as Managing Director of retirement plan investments for a local aerospace company. Cora's commitment is to help average people deal with the complexities of financial planning and asset management. She has continued to apply this philosophy as her client base and range of services expand.

Cora was awarded the CFA charter (Chartered Financial Analyst), which is recognized as a premier designation in the investment profession. Besides general financial planning with individuals, families and small businesses, specialized services include creation of an individual retirement plan, tax-aware investing, choosing and implementing the right pension plan for a sole proprietor or small company, and investment management (for both experienced investors and beginners). She holds several FINRA securities licenses and has presented seminars on personal investment management and financial planning.

Cora and husband Harry, a CPA with his own Quick Books practice, are long-time residents of Chevy Chase, Maryland. Both were instructors of a popular coed exercise class for the Montgomery County Recreation Department for over 20 years. Cora has been active on the Board of Directors of a local charity, serving as Co-Treasurer and remains active on the Finance Committee . Besides participating in community activities, both enjoy cooking, exercise and travel. Cora is a mentor for at-risk children and has been active in volunteer financial counseling and support programs for senior citizens.
